Terms of Service

PostChute is operated by Rebecca Brown, a sole trader trading as "PostChute" in the United Kingdom. Our contact address is Level One, Basecamp Liverpool, 49 Jamaica Street, Liverpool, L1 0AH.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and us. They govern your use of PostChute. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not create an account.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data. It is a notice, not part of this contract, but you should read it before signing up. Nothing in these Terms reduces your rights under data protection law.

In these Terms, "we", "us", and "our" refer to Rebecca Brown trading as PostChute. "You" and "your" refer to the person using PostChute.

PostChute helps you draft, refine, and publish blog content on your WordPress site, using your Notion workspace as a content source. It combines programmatic integrations (Notion and WordPress) with AI-assisted drafting and refinement using an AI provider that you choose and pay for yourself (currently Anthropic or OpenAI).

You stay in control. The decision to publish, the destination, and the schedule remain under your control. PostChute prepares content; you decide what goes live.

PostChute is currently in beta. This means:

• The service is still being developed and tested. You may encounter bugs, errors, incomplete features, or interruptions.
• Features may change, be added, or be removed as the product evolves.
• We intend for beta accounts and their data to carry over into the publicly launched product — you will not need to start again at launch. If that intention ever has to change, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email.

By using PostChute during the beta, you accept that it is a work in progress and agree to use it accordingly — in particular, by reviewing content before it is published (see section 7).

You must be at least 18 years old to use PostChute. This is because the third-party services PostChute depends on — including the AI APIs — have their own age requirements.

You must also have, or be authorised to use:

• a Notion workspace;
• a WordPress site you control or are authorised to publish to; and
• your own API key for a supported AI provider.

If you use PostChute on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to these Terms.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for everything done through your account. Tell us immediately at security@postchute.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deletion is permanent — see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.

You own your content. We claim no ownership of your Notion content, your drafts, or your published posts. You grant us permission to access, process, and transmit your content solely to provide the service to you — reading from your Notion workspace, preparing drafts, and publishing to your WordPress site, all on your instructions.

You are responsible for what you publish. PostChute is a tool; you are the publisher. You are responsible for ensuring that content you publish through PostChute:

• is lawful (including not defamatory and not infringing anyone's copyright, trade marks, or other rights);
• does not include other people's personal data without a proper basis; and
• complies with the terms of your WordPress host and any other platform it appears on.

PostChute uses AI models, via the provider and API key you supply, to draft and refine content. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or biased, and may unintentionally resemble existing material.

You must review content before publishing it. We do not guarantee the accuracy, quality, originality, or suitability of AI-generated content, and we are not responsible for the consequences of publishing content you have not reviewed. The publish decision is yours, and so is the published result.

Your use of Anthropic or OpenAI is governed by your own agreement with that provider, including their usage policies. You are responsible for complying with those policies and for all charges the provider bills to your API key.

PostChute connects to services we do not control: Notion, WordPress (or your WordPress host), and your chosen AI provider. We are not responsible for those services — their availability, their decisions, their pricing, or changes they make that affect PostChute. If a third-party service changes or withdraws functionality PostChute depends on, we will do our reasonable best to adapt, but we cannot promise uninterrupted compatibility.

PostChute is free to use during the beta.

We plan to introduce paid plans at or after public launch. If we do:

• we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before you are asked to pay anything;
• you will never be charged automatically — moving to a paid plan will require your explicit agreement; and
• if you choose not to pay, you can export your data and close your account.

We provide support on a reasonable efforts basis during the beta. You can reach us at support@postchute.com. PostChute is run by a very small team, so we cannot promise response times, uptime levels, or guaranteed fixes — but we do want to hear about problems, and we will do our reasonable best to resolve them.

AI support assistant. During the beta you can also chat with an AI-powered support assistant that answers questions by referring to the PostChute documentation. Like all AI systems, it can make mistakes. Its answers are provided for convenience only: they are not guaranteed to be accurate or complete, they do not form part of these Terms, and they do not create promises or commitments on our behalf. If an answer matters — anything involving your data, your account, billing, or deleting things — please check the documentation or ask us by email before acting on it.

You agree not to:

• use PostChute for anything unlawful, including publishing unlawful content;
• attempt to probe, breach, or test the security of the service, or access other users' data;
• interfere with the operation of the service, including by placing unreasonable load on it;
• attempt to manipulate the AI support assistant into producing harmful or misleading output, or to extract other users' information from it;
• resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as your own offering; or
• use the service to send spam or to mass-produce misleading content designed to manipulate search engines or readers.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section (see section 14).

The PostChute software, design, branding, and documentation belong to us (or our licensors). These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the service while you have an account. They do not give you any rights in the software itself, and you may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer it except where the law allows.

What we never exclude. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

The service is provided "as is" during the beta. To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

What we are not liable for. We are not liable for:

• the content of AI output — whether from the drafting pipeline (section 7) or the support assistant (section 10) — or the consequences of acting on output you did not verify;
• loss or corruption of content where you have not kept your own copies — your Notion workspace and WordPress site remain the canonical homes of your content, and PostChute is not a backup service;
• the acts, omissions, availability, or charges of third-party services (section 8); or
• loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunity.

Cap. Subject to "What we never exclude" above, our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to £100.

By you. You can stop using PostChute and delete your account at any time.

By us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms (for example, section 11), if we are required to by law, or if continuing to provide the service to you would put the service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will warn you and give you a chance to fix the problem first.

Winding down. If we ever discontinue PostChute entirely, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email so you can export your data.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including sections 6, 12, 13, and 16) continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change — one that affects your rights or obligations — we will notify you by email and ask you to accept the updated Terms before you continue using the service. For minor changes (typos, clarifications), we will update the document and the "Last updated" date without requiring re-acceptance. If you do not accept updated Terms, you may close your account.

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also rely on the consumer protections, and bring proceedings in the courts, of the part of the UK where you live.

Entire agreement. These Terms (together with any documents they refer to) are the whole agreement between you and us about the service.

Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a right under these Terms, that is not a waiver of it.

Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours as part of a transfer of the PostChute business, provided your rights are not reduced.
